Raute research volunteer and study programs is design to research the wandering caste Raute and uplift their lifestyle. Only one Jungali, wandering caste living in Nepal which is in the condition of disappearance is Raute. Their residents are Jungle of Pyuthn and Jajarkot east mountain of Far-western, Achham and Doti in west, Humla and Dolpa in north and Dang and Banke of south. Probabilities, Rautes are extremely important caste of ancient of Nepal and Asia Continent. Rautes who deem themselves king of the jungle consider cultivation of any food grain is great sin. Rautes express their view that fruit of sin may not be good; therefore, they do not stay in the same place for a long time and wander freely in the jungle. Especially, Rautes hunt monkeys and consume wild roots. They do not consume milk, curd and other food generated from cow. Raute male persons hunt and make pot of wood and female persons collect woods, search wild roots, prepare food and care children. Act of exorcism while getting sick, paste forged while wounded, consume herbs while headache, stay by making temporary roof of cut branch, stay one place only for 15 to 20 days, not return in the same place for 12 to 15 years, not drink water of canal, drink water of only origin, not waster time by gossiping and chatting, not collect money, not speak forgery, not cheat, not look behind while walking straightly from one place are features of Rautes. Axe and Basila (to cut small wood) are their main equipment. They cut trees of Tuni, Khirro and Simal and make pot like saw, trunk and sell and live their life. Language of Rautes called as Khamchi. Rautes approximated that their naturalized relationship with Australoid family deem that getting married in the same descent is sine and they married with far descent family. Rautes uniform is that male persons wear Gado in backbone, shawl on head and cloth wrapped round the waist and female persons wear skirt till knees made of rough clothes and short bodice. Futures of the children of Rautes who are living their life in Jungle are passing in the jungali condition even in 21st century. This organization has been working in the field of uplift by collecting data of the Raute children by deeming that any child of Raute should not live life of jungle even in 21st century and they should get opportunity of the light of education. Education can be provided to their children by bringing them in the school. Can’t we? To research this important question, we have brought program of study and research. Man should be brought in residential area not in jungle. By the support of native and foreign volunteers, we have to ascertain futures of the children of Raute in residential area not in jungle. We welcome entire persons for the study and research of language, caste, culture and art of marginalized deprived castes throw our organization. Available Duration: 1 month to 12 weeks
Experience Required: It is not necessary any specific skills and qualification for Raute research volunteer program. Upon your arrival you will receive relevant training towards the Raute research volunteer projects. If you are flexible and patient, you’ll cope better during the Raute research project and successfully complete your project as working conditions. For Raute research project volunteer may need physical efforts, so you should be in good health. We just ask our volunteers to be flexible, enthusiastic, be patient and an open mind. Raute research program is open to worldwide participants, families, couples and individuals.
Project Location: Raute research project placements Available in Pyuthn and Jajarkot district nearby Raute peoples shelter. Most of the volunteer placements are located within 2-4 km. from their accommodation and volunteers use local transportation such as mini bus or taxis for their commuting.

Program Requirements: Volunteers must be 16 years or older at the beginning of Raute research program. Volunteers need to have an open mind and flexible attitude for working in a new and different environment. The volunteer should bring energy and enthusiasm to make a difference.
Arrangement of room/food/supervision: CSVFN will manage your accommodation, food and supervision while you work in a volunteer program. You will stay either with a host family, in a project hostel or in a home base. In the home base, you’ll share your room with other volunteers and use communal toilets. You’ll be served 3 meals a day. Meals in the home base can be local or continental. In the host family, you’ll have a room for yourself and will be served 3 local meals a day. Staying with a host family will provide you with a wonderful opportunity to experience Nepali lifestyle and live with a warm and welcoming family. You can even learn to cook Nepali food. While volunteering, our staffs will visit you every two weeks. During the visit, we will check on your progress and make sure you’re satisfied and happy.
Transportation: Volunteers are met at the Nepal international airport in Kathmandu, upon arrival into Nepal. Once you are in your placement you need to work out transport for any traveling you wish to do, whether this is simply to the local shops or further a field for sightseeing. Travel will usually be by micro bus, tempo, taxi, larger buses or simply walking, several projects are just walking distance.
