Jail / Prison Kids care volunteer program design to support jail children at no fault of their, these innocent kids are also put behind the bars with their parents. When Children’s mother and father in jail there is no one else to look after them they have to go to jail with their parent. It is necessary to support for those children by doing something for them. These orphans need hope encouragement, love, and education. You also support for the orphans by doing different activities like encourage them to socialize, and sponsoring them. In many cases, volunteers help to prepare food, keep the premises and the children clean, and develop creative extracurricular activities. Working in an orphanage is a positive, life-changing experience. Prison children are the children of the prison inmates. They have been forced to live their childhood inside the four walls of the prison together with their parents who are their serving a sentence for committing crimes. The children, for no fault of theirs are serving a sentence behind bars. You can also provide your services and understand the immature minds of these jail kids. On the contest of Nepal poverty is the main cause of rising crime. When poor people were facing different problem in their daily life they started migrating in search of better opportunities of income when they were infants. In order to cope with the competitive got trapped into the criminal activities and convicted. At no fault of their, these innocent kids are also put behind the bars with their parents at no fault or theirs.
Their past is wiped out from their memory lane due to rapid changes in their lives. They are neither aware of whereabouts of their ancestors nor these scared, immature minds bother to explore themselves so that they could be proud of. In lack of knowledge of social and family values, they are not aware of what their future exactly would be. Moreover, hundreds of girls living with their parents in various jails in Nepal are more vulnerable and Socially-suppressed as they are more prone to harassment, molestation and rape by prison mates and others which go unnoticed first, but lead the young girl and of course, her offspring to engage into the illicit flesh trade or similar heinous crimes. It is necessary to create the favorable environment for jail kids. Community service and orphanage volunteer project Nepal is launched the Jail /Prison Kids care Program to serve and help the jail kids. Therefore, we request to participate in the individuals / groups that are willing to work as volunteer in Jail / Prison Kids Care Program. Therefore, we invite entire volunteers of the world to donate and contribute your effort in Jail / Prison Kids. Let’s join our Jail / Prison Kids care volunteer project.

Available Duration: 2weeks to 12 weeks
Experience Required: It is not necessary any specific skills and qualification for Jail / Prison Kids care volunteer program. Upon your arrival you will receive relevant training towards the Jail / Prison Kids care volunteer projects. If you are flexible and patient, you’ll cope better during the Jail / Prison Kids care project and successfully complete your project as working conditions. For Jail / Prison Kids care project volunteer may need physical efforts, so you should be in good health. We just ask our volunteers to be flexible, enthusiastic, be patient and an open mind. Jail / Prison Kids care program is open to worldwide participants, families, couples and individuals.
Project Location: Jail / Prison Kids care project placements are located in all over Nepal according to your interest and chosen program. Most of the volunteer placements are located within 2-4 km. from their accommodation and volunteers use local transportation such as mini bus or taxis for their commuting.
Program start dates: Jail / Prison Kids care program starts every week, year round.

Program Requirements: Volunteers must be 16 years or older at the beginning of Jail / Prison Kids care program. Volunteers need to have an open mind and flexible attitude for working in a new and different environment. The volunteer should bring energy and enthusiasm to make a difference.
Arrangement of room/food/supervision: CSVFN will manage your accommodation, food and supervision while you work in a volunteer program. You will stay either with a host family, in a project hostel or in a home base. In the home base, you’ll share your room with other volunteers and use communal toilets. You’ll be served 3 meals a day. Meals in the home base can be local or continental. In the host family, you’ll have a room for yourself and will be served 3 local meals a day. Staying with a host family will provide you with a wonderful opportunity to experience Nepali lifestyle and live with a warm and welcoming family. You can even learn to cook Nepali food. While volunteering, our staffs will visit you every two weeks. During the visit, we will check on your progress and make sure you’re satisfied and happy.
Transportation: Volunteers are met at the Nepal international airport in Katmandu, upon arrival into Nepal. Once you are in your placement you need to work out transport for any traveling you wish to do, whether this is simply to the local shops or further a field for sightseeing. Travel will usually be by micro bus, tempo, taxi, larger buses or simply walking, several projects are just walking distance.
