Girl trafficking awareness program is a public awareness volunteer program design to stop the (human trafficking) Girl/Women trafficking. Organization runs awareness program in against of girl trafficking in Nepal. Girl trafficking, abduction and trafficking of children are great problem in our Nepali society which is restless by illiterate, lack and poverty. Brothels and sex houses are encouraging girl trafficking. Such a way, abductors brokers are abducting or inducing children and handing over for adoption, engaging them as child labour in various factories and selling for organ transplant. Yearly, about 5 to 7 thousand Nepali women are being sold in brothels as sex worker. Such a way, about 2 hundred thousand Nepali women are being compelled by operating sex business in various brothels of India. More women to be sold from Nepal are in India. After opening opportunity of employment in Gulf countries, more Nepalese girls are working as sex worker in brothels in these countries. Brokers supplying Nepali women by taking huge amount as commission from foreign brothel by advertising that they would get employment at free of cost.
Due to open border and weak law, day by day various incidents of human trafficking and abduction are increasing in Nepal. As per the data, the districts from where more and more women are being sold i.e. Sindhupalchok, Makawanpur, Dhading, Kavre, Rasuwa, Dang, Kailali, Siraha, Saptari and Udayapur. Especially more girls above 9 years to 16 years girls are being sold and less girls above 16 years are being sold every year.
The girl seller brokers are selling daughters of straight, illiterate family by marrying, in the pretext of good job and giving other greed in brothels of Delhi and Mumbai. Due to illiterate, religious superstition, lack of self reliant, the Nepali girls are being compelled to follow broker husband after the marriage. Having hope of pleasure and visiting city, the brokers use them as sex slave and sell them owner of brothels. Such a way prostitute girl should satisfy 15 to 20 customers per day having sex with them. If she rejects to have sex with any customer or customer does not satisfy with her, they tortured mentally and physically and battered and got engaged in prostitution. After knowing that she is affected by HIV, they banished from the brothel. Some women banished from the brothel return in native country and some wait for the customer in red-light area. The society hates and rejected such returned women, thus, their conditions found terrible. Therefore, our organization has been operating awareness and educative programs in the districts where girls are trafficked in large numbers. We are operating programs to rescue the girls from brothels, girls from boarder who are being sold to brothels and appropriate care to those who are returned by affecting from HIV and awareness program in the society not to hate and insult them. We have prepared volunteering program to rescue sold and to be sold girls, rehabilitation and make available skill training and knowledge to the HIV affected woman. Therefore, we request to participate in rescue of sold and to be sold girl, rehabilitation, social awareness campaign and volunteer program against human trafficking. Therefore, we invite entire volunteers of the world to donate and contribute your effort in society; let’s join our Girl/Women trafficking volunteer project.

Available Duration: 2 weeks to 12 weeks
Experience Required: It is not necessary any specific skills and qualification for Girl/Women trafficking volunteer program. Upon your arrival you will receive relevant training towards the Girl/Women trafficking volunteer projects. If you are flexible and patient, you’ll cope better during the Girl/Women trafficking project and successfully complete your project as working conditions. For Girl/Women trafficking project volunteer may need physical efforts, so you should be in good health. We just ask our volunteers to be flexible, enthusiastic, be patient and an open mind. Girl/Women trafficking program is open to worldwide participants, families, couples and individuals.
Project Location: Girl/Women trafficking project placements available in Sindhupalchok, Makawanpur, Dhading, Kavre, Rasuwa, Dang, Kailali, Siraha, Saptari and Udayapur District. Most of the volunteer placements are located within 2-4 km. from their accommodation and volunteers use local transportation such as mini bus or taxis for their commuting.
Program start dates: Women /Girl trafficking program starts every week, year round.

Program Requirements: Volunteers must be 16 years or older at the beginning of Girl/Women trafficking program. Volunteers need to have an open mind and flexible attitude for working in a new and different environment. The volunteer should bring energy and enthusiasm to make a difference.
Arrangement of room/food/supervision:
CSVFN will manage your accommodation, food and supervision while you work in a volunteer program. You will stay either with a host family, in a project hostel or in a home base. In the home base, you’ll share your room with other volunteers and use communal toilets. You’ll be served 3 meals a day. Meals in the home base can be local or continental. In the host family, you’ll have a room for yourself and will be served 3 local meals a day. Staying with a host family will provide you with a wonderful opportunity to experience Nepali lifestyle and live with a warm and welcoming family. You can even learn to cook Nepali food. While volunteering, our staffs will visit you every two weeks. During the visit, we will check on your progress and make sure you’re satisfied and happy.
Transportation: Volunteers are met at the Nepal international airport in Katmandu, upon arrival into Nepal. Once you are in your placement you need to work out transport for any traveling you wish to do, whether this is simply to the local shops or further a field for sightseeing. Travel will usually be by micro bus, tempo, taxi, larger buses or simply walking, several projects are just walking distance.
