Culture exchange volunteer program provides an opportunity to explore the Nepali culture, tradition, lifestyle and local peoples. We organize cultural exchange programs on the lap of Mount Everest between more than 120 different customs people and their own culture and language. Nepal is a rich country in culture, natural resources and landscape. Nepal is a hodgepodge of ethnic groups and sub-groups who speak over 100 languages and dialects and there are numerous festivals that are celebrated throughout the year in traditional style highlighting enduring customs and beliefs. Cultural exchange program is design for those who have a keen interest in Nepali culture. After the completion of intensive Nepali language training, volunteers will stay with Nepali family in village through participation in village life. Volunteers will experience the different local culture while exchanging their own culture and custom. Main result of culture influence volunteers gain cross-cultural experience through cultural exchange programs.
Culture exchange is an opportunity to experience Nepal differently that traces a lasting impression. August to December is the time of main festivals in Nepal that you can have exciting experience celebrating festivals with Nepali family. You can get the opportunity to know the social economics status, social psychology, social sociology, and social anthropology of Nepali peoples. CSVFN, give you a unique opportunity to make a real contribution to Nepali society, while simultaneously were experiencing the rich culture of Nepal. Placements are available all over Nepal whatever you like. The Kingdom of Nepal is a large and very diverse one. We can place you with a family all over Nepal in the mountains, the valley, the jungle, or in Kathmandu. Each region has its own standards when it comes to religious practices and cultural mores. You will live with a family in your chosen location and adopt the life style practiced there. It will be incumbent upon you as a volunteer to personalize the experience and share with your host family and with the community your own life lessons and practices with an obvious respect for theirs. They will also have the opportunity to visit and help out at the local school.
Best season for cultural exchange volunteer program is August to December it is the main time to celebrate Nepali festivals take place. This makes for an overall more exciting experience for the volunteer. Nepali culture is distinctively friendly and open and participants are made to feel as though they are part of the family. We provide you cultural exchange volunteer program all over Nepal and different culture and customs people. In Nepal mainly, there are four different cultural groups according to religious view they are Hindu, Buddhist, Muslim, and christen, you can find the host family for cultural exchange program according to your interest and religious view. There are some indigenous and ethnic groups of people staying in Nepal. You can find culture exchange in their cultural environment also; let’s join our culture exchange volunteer project.

Available Duration: 2 weeks  to 12 weeks
Experience Required: It is not necessary any specific skills and qualification for cultural exchange volunteer program. Upon your arrival you will receive relevant training towards the cultural exchange volunteer projects. If you are flexible and patient, you’ll cope better during the cultural exchange project and successfully complete your project as working conditions. For culture exchange project volunteer may need physical efforts, so you should be in good health. We just ask our volunteers to be flexible, enthusiastic, be patient and an open mind. Culture exchange program is open to worldwide participants, families, couples and individuals.
Project Location: Cultural exchange program placements are located in all over Nepal according to your interest and chosen program. Most of the volunteer placements are located within 2-4 km. from their accommodation and volunteers use local transportation such as mini bus or taxis for their commuting.
Program start dates: Culture exchange program starts after your arrival.

Program Requirements: Volunteers must be 16 years or older at the beginning of culture exchange program. Volunteers need to have an open mind and flexible attitude for working in a new and different environment. The volunteer should bring energy and enthusiasm to make a difference.
Arrangement of room/food/supervision: CSVFN will manage your accommodation, food and supervision while you work in a volunteer program. You will stay either with a host family, in a project hostel or in a home base. In the home base, you’ll share your room with other volunteers and use communal toilets. You’ll be served 3 meals a day. Meals in the home base can be local or continental. In the host family, you’ll have a room for yourself and will be served 3 local meals a day. Staying with a host family will provide you with a wonderful opportunity to experience Nepali lifestyle and live with a warm and welcoming family. You can even learn to cook Nepali food. While volunteering, our staffs will visit you every two weeks. During the visit, we will check on your progress and make sure you’re satisfied and happy.
Transportation: Volunteers are met at the Nepal international airport in Kathmandu, upon arrival into Nepal. Once you are in your placement you need to work out transport for any traveling you wish to do, whether this is simply to the local shops or further a field for sightseeing. Travel will usually be by micro bus, tempo, taxi, larger buses or simply walking. Several projects are just walking distance.
