Lamjung District is a district of  Gandaki Zone, administrative headquarters of this district is Besisahar, situated in Western Development Region of Nepal. This is situated in the height of 793 meters to 8155 meters from sea level and its area is 1692 square kilometers. Total population of Lamjung district is 167,724 according to census 2068 B.S. (2011 A.D.). Main profession of the residents in this district is agriculture. Its agricultural land is 17103 hectare there are 61 village development committees that are Chakratirtha, Dhamilikuwa. Bhalayakharka, Pyarjung, Kolki, Mohoriakot, Bharte, Tarkughat, Sundarbazar, Bhoteodar, Chiti, Archalbot. Shreebhyanjang, Nauthar, Gaquda, Ilampokhari, Bichaur, Pachok, Dudhpokhari, Hiletaksar, Banjhakhet. Bansar, Dhodeni, Phaleni, Bhulbhule, Bahundanda, Ghermu, Taghrin, Khundi, Ganapokhara, Bhujung, Pasgaon. Chaleuttarkanya, Simpani, Chandisthan, Bhoje, Gilung, Karapu, Isaneshor, Bhorletar, Samibhanjyang, Ramgha, Suryapal. Taksar, Jita, Bangre, Neta, Ghuseni, Kunchha, Parewadanda,Traku, Udipur, Duradanda, Chandreshor. Sindure, Purankot, Maling, Nalma, Baglungpani, Besisahar, gaonsahar. There is not any Municipality in this district. Main residents of this district are Gurung, Bramhin, Chhetri, Magar, Kami etc.
