Dolpa District is a district of Karnali Zone administrative headquarters of this district is Dunai, located in Mid-Western Development Region of Nepal. Total population of Dolpa district is 36,700 according to census 2068 B.S. (2011 A.D.). Main profession of the residents in Dolpa district are agriculture and trade but recently tourism activities also increasing day by day. Dolpa is one of the largest and remote district of Nepal covers 7,888 sq.km. It is Located between 28°24’ N – 29°43’ N latitude, and 82°24’ E – 83°38’ E longitude, the elevation ranges from 1,525 to 7,625 m above sea level. Shay Gompa, phoksundo lake are the highlight touristic spots of this district.
