About Organization Kathmandu Nepal

Community service Volunteer Foundation Nepal is a Nepal based non-governmental and non-profit organization which is registered in district administration office and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council Nepal. Community service, orphanage and volunteer project Nepal was not only established for better serve and enhances the relationship between Nepalese people and foreign volunteers who seek heartfelt, profound, and life changing experience but also it is established to create a social harmony. CSVFN attends to the welfare of children’s and society. It is established by a diverse group drawn from community development workers, educationalists, sociologist, journalist, lawyer, professors, graduate students and other professionals. As an action for community development and empowerment program under the Nepalese Organization Act, with the Alliance for good Health, Education, employment and Development, the activities which concerned with people’s real need in Society.
The organization is active in the socio-economic, cultural development of the society especially for the rural poor and needy children and women with a view to serve more targeted population in various areas of Nepal. It focuses its activities on the progress of disadvantaged, marginalized, orphans, war affected children, handicapped, and poorly educated people, and plays the role of facilitator for sustainable development by utilizing local resources. We mobilize national and international volunteers and local people into the sectors of education, health, agriculture, environment, human rights, reformation, and progress of the community. The aim of mobilizing these volunteers is to empower local people and raise awareness with a development strategy, and to help local people directly, through the various aid programs CSVFN is running. Our project runs various research programs to help discern exactly what it is that rural Nepali people need, as well as investigate the subtle differences in each of the many ethnic and social groups. We collect this information in order to more effectively help the People. We are based in Nepal and you would get direct contact with us as no middlemen are involved, such as internationally based volunteering organizations. We place volunteers for many such organizations abroad and by joining us directly to get the same world class services and opportunities to volunteer at more affordable cost.
Volunteers visiting Nepal come for different reasons, but they are united by their outgoing personality, friendly and easy going nature, their adventurous spirit and most importantly, their desire to make a difference. After completing a training session in Kathmandu, volunteers move to various placements all over Nepal, where they stay with a traditional but educated host family. CSVFN serves to directly put efforts for change in the hands of local people. It actively encourages people to volunteer within their communities, aiming to unite all sectors of society in working together to set up and run local projects. Through our placement of the volunteers in the homes of Nepalese families, where they share the daily life experience of the average Nepalese while working in their particular community, side by side, the volunteer will be rewarded with learning quite a bit about themselves and their role on this planet. Most leave with their life’s compass pointing clear and strong to a new direction in their lives. Nepal is beautiful, diverse, and exotic, and the people are unforgettable.
